Good News for 2009

It's time to start the year off with some good news for a change and it might be the last of it, so enjoy.

I learned that some of my Cognative problems were due to seizers.  Well after taking Lamotrigine for a little over two months, gradually increasing the dosage, no more seizures and my brain fog is greatly improved.

You don't realize how mess up your head is until the dust starts to settle.  Now if I could start to feel physically better, 09 could be a great year.

It helps when the doctor says, don't worry we are going to find out what's wrong with you.  He also said with Sjogren's, seizures were a strong possibility.  I was starting to think that I had Alzhiemer's, no joke and so did my wife.

I am not saying everyone with Sjogren's has seizures, but I do think that going to see a neurologist is a good idea, I am only sorry that I didn't do it sooner.

It's great that you got some answers Epson...and even better that the treatment is helping you to feel better. 2009 is off to a good start for you!

Epson, It is about time you had some good news. Glad that it will be easier for you to deal with life mentally. You are right about being aware of seizure activity. We always think that it is the little kids that can have them but they can come with a lot of the autoimmune stuff. Thank goodness for all the new medications now. Irish ;D

Been following the posts a bit but as my mom is pretty sick and therefor i'm pretty tired I haven't replied much. Thinking of you all though. I have to say here though Epson it's about darn time you've caught a break. Through all this stuff we go through a bit of posative reinforcment sure can carry us a long way. And the brain thing i sure get it, it's the only tool in my toolbox that i can rely on most of the time so when it goes south it sure makes things difficult. Processing information is sure allot easier and making decisons about that same information is doable, so encouraged for you. i saw a neuro for something similar and although he did tell me that the sjs can be a problem, i wasn't to bad  ??? So until such time (hopefully never) I get to be a half-wit during the rough times. oh well, I am upright today and that can take a person quite far!
You have a great day. Sandra

Epson

Kimbo,

I didn't see that episode of House, but when he took LSD to get rid of a headache I decided that this is not the guy I want as a doctor.  I think everyone knows that LSD is a recreational drug and you should never mix business with pleasure ;D

It's about time you got some good news Epson.  Glad to hear it.  I pray you get nothing but good news this year, you sure deserve it.

You were due some good news, Epson.  I'm really happy for you.

Good to hear that your neuro has done his/her job and that the meds are working.  Now the big question is ... what are you going to do with all this renewed brain power?  Our expectations are high!

Seriously, I do hope that you start to feel physically better and that 2009 is a good year for you.
