Epson

Today was my last doctor appointment for the year, yaa, right?  Well, now it seems that my kidneys are not functioning properly and must add another ologist to my growing list of doctors.

It will be fun waiting over a month to find out if it's more cancer or just another gift from Mr. Sjogren.  Never a dull moment in my life.  The funny thing is that for over a year I have been thinking about seeing a kidney specialist, even though I had no real reason, just a funny feeling that something was going to go wrong, plus my dad's kidneys are shot.

Well I hope next year brings better health, if I make it to next year.  I got a hair cut today just in case I don't, I hate the way funeral homes do your hair ;)

Sorry to hear there may be a problem with your kidneys. You certainly have enough to deal with already. Please let us know what you find out.

Here's hoping for a better new year for everyone.

Sorry that the year is ending on a negative note, Epson.  I'm with you on the hair thing--where on earth do they find their "stylists"?  ;D

Healthy New Year!

Epson, perhaps a 12 pack of suger-free popsicles might help you make it through the turning of the year.  You might try it.  We're going to a hockey game and then coming home for popsicles.  Lucy

Sorry Eps, you are feeling so low.  I sure hope your kidneys are not envolved in anything serious.  I pray you make it through a lot more than just next year.  What would we do without you to keep us on our toes.

I hope your new year is a lot more healthy and has a lot less doctor visits in it.

Take care and please let us know what the kidneyologest  ;D says.

Epson, I hear you on the end of year thing... I can't wait to turn the page onto 2009 a totally EMPTY calander without appointments and reminders etc.  A clean slate !... until I transfer the 'junk' from my "notes for Jan. 09"   ;D

Good luck to you with the kidneys, I'll be thinking positive thoughts for you....

Epson

Ron,

I said I got a hair cut, ladies get their hair did.  That's the tip off that I am a dude.

Scottietottie

Hmmmm....... well I never claimed to be a 'lady' but I go for a hair cut too - and I'm certainly not male.

Epson - I really hope 2009 is kinder to you. You surely don't have to wait a whole month to see a kidney specialist under the circumstances - do you??

2008's been a bummer. Wish that evryone has a better 2009.

Take care - Scottie  :)

Never do tomorrow what you can put off till the day after tomorrow!

Epson

Scottie,

You get your hair did, not cut, only boys get it cut.  As far as getting to see a specialist sooner, good luck, especially if he is a good one with a solid reputation.  Some clowns will tell you 2 or 3 months, but I do plan to stop buy the office and ask if anyone cancels to give me a call.

I also take my dad to see this doc so maybe one of the nurses that knows me can pull some strings, or ask me to leave and never come back.

susanep

Epson I am praying for you to get better. I am sorry you have so much on your mind, and so much to go through.

A Happy 2009 to You!!!!

I need to get my hair cut, I mean did.  ;)

Thanks to all for the kind words, but save your prayers for Ohiolady, she got the double whammy yesterday.  It made me sick to my stomach when I read her post.  I can imagine what is going on in her mind and I hope everything turns out well for her.

Waiting to see the doctor is the hardest thing to do, it make it difficult to focus on anything else.

Oh well, Happy New Year everyone >:(

Chana M

Oh Epson, here's hoping that kind words and prayers, and the love that they reflect are enough to get you through the next few weeks while you wait for tests and results.

You've been through so much this year, and just managed to sneak something else in before the clock struck midnight tonight!

I'm newish to the SjS world but even so you've made an impact on my life in this short time.  Festivus had me laughing out loud - and it was LOUD - and gathering all my children round the computer to read about what good use could be made of an aluminium pole.  And the best way to treat relatives!

While you're waiting for news remember that we're here and ready to give back some of the love and care which you've shown so many of us.  Just hope we can keep you laughing too.

With love and all good wishes for a happy and optimistic new year - Chana

ps I also loved your description of the best way for goyim to attempt to pronounce Yiddish words.  Fish bone, huh!  There are lots of appropriate Yiddish words for hard times, and lots of good jokes too, which might be worth trying right now.

Epson, one of the wonderful things about prayer, is that there is always enough to go around, but your generosity of spirit has not gone unnoticed.

Prayers, good vibes and meditations for wellness and good news for all who need it, even for those who think their needs are less than other's.

Well back to the hair cut thing.

I have cut my own hair since I was a youngin. When I cut it - I say I cut it, now when I do it, that means I did it as in hair do- hair do is a difference from me cutting it and doing my hair to go out and meet the public.
Although you never hear a dude say- I went out and got my hair done or did.

But epson dude,  I pray you have a wonderful new year !  ;D

blessings, kimbo
