The perfect Xmas gift, a Grey Hound bus ticket.  It's a good learning experience too.
Ahh...that's a great solution Epson, she would appreciate that  :o  Scottie, you wouldn't have to worry about her safety either.

Well here is my opinion...I would tell him to pony up the money for a bus for her to come home on, or go and get her because you can NOT do it this time!  Sounds like he has been used to you just doing it and I think you need to be able to speak up when your hurt and cant do things!

Good Luck!

Poor Scottie,  Mums just can't win, why is it we can never ask for help, yet we give it all the time?
Why is it we can't ever say no!  yet we always say yes!  Seriously tho' Scottie, tell him indoors to DO it!!
                                                              Wishing you well, luv         Dolly.

Hi  :)

Well I 'copped out' and asked my daughter to email her dad and ask him to get her. She did. "What's all this about?" he said. I just told him that my doc had told me not to drive for 6 hours in a day - true - and that daughter wasn't happy about me wanting put up for a night. He said I should get her back 'on my terms'.
I think after the email he's agreed to go though. Whew! He'll be so much better at carrying stuff to the car too! I know I still COULD do it - but it really would be through gritted teeth.

thanks for all the replies.

Take care - Scottie  :)  (off the hook I think!)

What you need to remember is men are different from us. They do not get hints no matter how many you drop - in fact they'll just switch off, assuming you are nagging about something. If you do not tell them clearly what the problem is and how you would like their help to solve it, they will carry on in ignorant bliss, while you simmer away wondering why they won't offer to do what you want (They cannot mind read either)

I have found if I am blunt with the guy about what I want, most things get done right away. It's also best to make it seem like he is doing you a favour and not obeying another command. Guys just love to feel like they are looking after you.

I wholeheartedly agree, Pixi!
