Hi all

Firstly I didn't know whether to post this or not - I'd hate to think of others reading it and making them feel worse, I'm doing it hopefully as a ray of light at the end of  our very long tunnels.

Since Friday I have felt sooooo well I just can't believe it - On Sunday I dashed around, cleaning cooking shopping etc and still felt fantastic.  I stopped and thought "this is how I used to feel years ago, and boy does it feel good, I'm like my real old self"  Work has been mad busy and instead of watching the minutes until I can get home and into my pyjamas I've relished been able to keep on top of things and the hustle and bustle.

I know it's only been a few days, but it has felt like a new lifetime to me - how precious it is to feel this way - I know only you on here can understand me been so ecstatic.  I keep thinking how long will this last?, can it last? but until things take a turn again I am enjoying every minute.  It is just so great to feel part of the big wide world again.  Why do I feel so good I've asked - have I eaten anything any different? I'm grasping at anything that will make it continue.

If I had one wish in the world today it would be for everyone on our forum to feel like this - how I honestly wish you all could - even if it was only for one or two days a week.  But if it has happened to me, this remission it could happen to you too - you may have a few good days around the corner coming your way - when you do enjoy!!!!

Please don't think I'm bragging or gloating I'm defo not - I just want to share something positive with all my friends on the forum.

Love Wen x    :)

What a delightful post! It's so good to hear that someone feels WELL! Gives me a star to wish upon. The best I've been able to manage is the occasional isolated day of what I call "unflares"; you know how a flare makes everything a bit worse, well an unflare makes everything a bit better. Don't misunderstand, I'm extremely grateful for those days, when they happen!

If you ever figure out what you did that sparked this change, please let us know...I'd stand on my head in the garden and recite poetry if I thought it would help...and if I could stand on my head...and if I had a garden...and if I knew any poetry.....you get the idea though  :D

Sweet Wen!

You are gorgeous!  Thank you for the breath of fresh air!

I had a whole week like that in June and it was amazing!  I'm praying you will stay this way forever!

Good for you gal.  I am so happy for you.  See, there are bright days in the midst of this insidious disease.  Just enjoy them to the fullest.  Who knows maybe you are in what seems to evade most of us.  Remission!

Please don't feel guilty posting about this, we all live for days like this and if we only get to enjoy it through others, well that's the way it will be.

May you have many, many more.  ;D

Yippy for you, I wrote one of these posts a few months ago, I was worried about making others feel worse too! But to me it is the ray of light that keeps us all going. I'm not doing so good right now but i am thrilled to know there is someone out there who has escaped. Live for us all have a great time but be careful you want it to last as long as possible  :) Sandra

good for you Wen!  Other than my dry mouth and some fatigue, I've been feeling pretty good and have been pain and rash free for a number of weeks.  not sure if it is the plaquenil kicking in or the prednisone.. but it's a good feeling.  Glad to hear of your good feelings!

Thanks all for taking my post the way it was intended - to try and encourage others there may be bright days ahead.  Well it's been a week now - and hey .... guess what .... I'm still feeling great.  Yesterday, my day off, I was up early took my Mum shopping and had a couple of hours with her.  Then my daughter and grand daughter arrived at lunch time so we had lunch out and looked at the First Christmas decorations in the shop.  I cooked a lovely pan of home made soup for tea, then went out with hubby for a couple of hours last night.

If anyone told me 2 months ago I would have done this, I would have thought I'd have more chance flying to the moon.  This week has been a joy, and if I go downhill again, at least I've had this time and for that I'm truly grateful.  I still hope, pray and wish that you all experience the same soon.

Wen,

so happy that you have felt well lately.  as a newbie it is so great to see this post!  i have just recently put the pieces together that the past 6 months or so i have been showing symptoms...and i wasn't quite sure how these would progress.  i have received plenty of knowledge from the site and already made lots of friend...and now i have received a little bit more hope too!

i hope that whatever is working for you keeps working! ;)
