Did You Vote?

Voted absentee!  This is an important election here in California with Proposition 8 on the ballot.  Very hot issue about changing the constitution in California to say marriage is defined by a man and woman.     As a gay man you can bet which side of the fence I'm on!
I'm just home from the dentist where I had a tooth pulled so I'm grumpy!!!!!!!

Yes... I voted this morning, expected lines, there were none... I live in New Hampshire, its been politically busy here for 2 years.... 'First in the Nation' n' all... I'm not very happy tonight though..

Not only did I vote, but I worked the darn polls today from 5:45 a.m. to 8:45 p.m.  I had this fancy notion.  I feel like I've been trampled by the bulls.  Never again.  I'll be back when I can move.  Lucy

Yes me and my husband voted, and it was just down the road from us, and it took us about 5 minutes. The machines they had were so cool.  I sat up late, now I will be yawning at school  all day.

Yep we voted yesterday.  My husband and I had a big discussion on not giving up or taking for granted our right to vote.  We are both big believers in letting our voices (votes) be heard weather our candidate wins or  loses.  This is the one major thing that truly makes our nation great - we the people get to choose!

Do you know that in australia it is compulsory to vote.Once you turn 18 you have to do it or you get fined by the government.

Of course a lot of people dont vote. I do i want my say plus im not going to give the government any more of my hard earnd money than i absolutely have to. they already get enough.

I know election day is over now but I wanted to say to Lucy- that I think it's great you worked the polls! When I voted on Tuesday the poll workers here in NYC were great, so kudos to you all!

i did early voting last week.  as a woman, i feel it is really important to vote.  my great grandmother passed away in 2004 at the age of 104!  she remembers when women won the right to vote and i guess she instilled in me not to take for granted the fact that women in this country have equal (well, supposedly) rights.

did you know that only 1/3 of eligible women actually vote?!?
