As much as we try to protect you from these people who use our site for their own benefit, we had one slip through this week.  He was not what he said he was, only another salesman. 

As you know this forum is for support, comfort, friendship and information pertaining to Sjogren's Syndrome.

If you received an e-mail from this gentleman selling his products for dry mouth, please accept our apologies. 

His only purpose for joining us was to gain access to our membership list.  This is not acceptable and against the rules of our forum. 

His biggest mistake was e-mailing the moderators.  Shows how intelligent he was.

Please let us know if he contacted you and if so, please forgive our slip up.  We try to protect our members as best we can, but sometimes one will slip through.

G'day pooh, thankyou for your diligence.  This person contacted me both through the forum and through my personnel E-mail account.  It was annoying.  But that's why we have a delete button.  Thankyou again for filtering that Rocket Scientist out of the system.

Thanks for letting us know.  I'm sorry he got through to you.  We will keep a closer eye on things.  He tried a second time to gain access with another nick, so he has been banned completely.  We hope this is the end of it.

Thank you Ann for your understanding.  We do try to protect our members from this sort of thing, but as you say "These things happen".

We are not in any way saying his products are not what he says they are.  Just his method of promoting them.  We feel it is an invasion of privacy and we guard that with all we can. 

We do hope that he doesn't continue to spam you with his ads, they only thing we can suggest is that you put a block on him to avoid any more of his personal e-mails.

    I got that e-mail to in my private e-mail. So don't sweat it. It isn't your fault. It is kinda sick how people try to make a buck off of sick people with their snake oils and potions. So, i just did what everyone else did. I sent it to the DELETE pile.
