I was disappointed (after watching it for a second time) at how blase' House was with the girl having Sjogern's.. he was like "Oh she can't cry she has Sjogern's"  but I was happy the girl was having all the problems cause now my HUSBAND understands that what I have is REAL and it's PAINFUL and it HURTS.....

I looked up that med.. I think the brand name is Medrol... I kid you not, the side effects seem far worse than Sjogern's.... I'm disappointed.. I thought House had found a cure...

Here's a fun TV trivia... did you know Patrick Dempsey went out for the role of House?   He didn't get it... Did you know Shondra Rimes (creator of Grey's Anatomy) wanted Rob Lowe to be Dr. McDreamy?  He passed and went to Brothers and Sisters... So now we have Patrick as Dr. McDreamy and Hugh Laurie as House... neat huh?

I'm so mad I missed it. My boyfriend acts so not interested in what I'm going threw.  That is his favortie show and we missed it.  I guess we have to wait a couple of weeks to watch it online because they are behind the online versions.

I was totally blown away when they started started talking about her lack of tears and then said she had sjs!  But my husband was watching it with me and perked up and asked "can sjogrens really cause all of that?"  I went on to explain to him about a lot of organs that SJS could affect.  I thought it was great that he could see (without any prodding from me) it.

That episode freaked my boyfriend right the heck out. Same as your husband, Rita -- "can it do that?"

So I explained ... yeah, lungs, kidneys, neuropathy... all in the realm of possibility. It's such a "fun" illness.  ::)

You know, as the episode progressed, I wondered... you all know -- the fatigue plus the seizure, you gotta figure lupus is a possibility -- but of course the joke on the show is "it's never lupus." Then, for just a moment with the numbness on the hip, I wondered.. but they explained that away (so we thought).

And of course when they got to the onion test... yeah, I slapped myself in the head. D'oh!!!

I saw the last 10 minutes.  When he asked "Does she have tears?" I knew it was Sjogrens.  I have several people stopping me asking me more about Sjogrens because they saw it last night.  Also my blog has got a couple of hits from people searching about House and Sjogrens.

You know, if anybody missed this episode, you might be able to catch it on www.hulu.com   within a couple of days. They have the last three on there already, including last weeks. It's a website where you can watch tv shows, movies, etc. Check it out. My son told me about it maybe a month ago and it's great. Dale

I noticed you all type Prednisone when you refer to steroids.  I am on prednisolone - is that the same thing?

Beverley

ps Sorry - great House fan but I guess it won't be in the UK for a while.

Prednisone is a prodrug, meaning, it turns into another drug (Prednisolone) in the Liver. So you are more or less taking the same thing, it just doesnt have to be converted in the liver first.

Hi Beverley  :)

I was definitely given Prednisolone drops for my eyes for a while.

Take care - Scottie  :)
