Well I am finally beginning to feel half way normal again.  For the past two and a half week I have been sick from a nasty bug that really laid me flat.  What started as a small scratchy throat ended up being a major event.  Everyone one around me seems to have a form of it either with head or stomach problems but lucky me it attacked from my head to my toes.  I ran fever, hurt everywhere, couldn't eat for over a week and wanted to just sleep all day.  The doctor popped me with two shots and sent me home with a fist full of scripts.  I felt so lousy that I had to call my husband to come home and take me to the doctor. 

Now tell me does this not sound like the flu to you?   I know they will probably just say it isn't the real deal just a nasty bug making its way around, but if that is so I surely don't want the authentic virus.  I think I feel well enough to head off for that flu shot this week.  One round of this was more than enough!

Wow Sal - that certainly sounds like flu to me. I'm sorry you've been feeling so rough. Don't do too much too soon. It will probably take you a while to shake it properly.

Hi Sal,

Sorry to hear the lurgy got you. Im glad to hear that it is heading for greener pastures though. I hope this is the only one you get during the winter.
