Endocrinologist gets second chance....it was worth it!

I didn't like my new endocrin.  He must have been busy, overwhelmed, or just not very communicative.  But I saw him today and he was great.  He explained things, told we why we wanted me to stay on Armour and Synthroid, and was very concerned that I couldn't see my rheumatologist until Dec.

He referred me to another rheummie and I got an appt for tomorrow!!  He said I needed a rheumatologist, not a PA.  YEAH!!

So, maybe things will go well.  I sure hope so.  I forgot to ask if she takes my insurance but I will do that before signing up.  Maybe I'll get my plaquenil afterall.  Two more wks until the muscle biopsy results are back but I least I got my foot in the door.

Giving a UA tomorrow, more cortisol and other blood tests.  I'm feeling like I'm making some progress.

Thank GOD for good insurance.   Feeling miserable but hopeful at the same time.    ;)

Hi Tinker  :)

That sounds like really good news. Your endo must just have been aving an 'off' day. Not good - but they happen. Getting a rheumy's appointment tomorrow is great. Good luck with it!

Take care - Scottie  :)

Never do tomorrow what you can put off till the day after tomorrow!

Hey Tinker

That is great news, you are making some headway; isn't it wonderful to have the doctor working with you instead of against you. Good luck with your apt tomorrow, praying you will have more good news!!

Thanks, ladies and I'll give an update tomorrow.  It was so easy to get an appt I'm wondering if she is all that great.  But, the doc highly recommended her.

I'm open to any and all suggestions and hopeful that she will be on my side.

A giant leap forward.....feels good! :)
