I am getting lots of rain and wind right now.  Ike is now a tropical storm.  I live just east of Dallas so am on the edge of Ike.  It is windy but nothing like what they had down in Houston and Galveston.  Hope everyone else is staying safe.

Thanks everyone for your prayers for those in the path of Ike. I live just north of Houston, and we just got our power restored. There are trees down and damage everywhere even this far north of the coast. Some around us still don't have power or water. My birthday was last Saturday and what a party we had when the hurricane blew right over the top of us!!! I pray everyone is safe and will be back in their homes soon.

I live right where Ike came in....near Clear Lake.  It was horrific....we escaped with minor damage compared to others. 

The stress of this really took it's toll on me.  I've been wiped out and clearly stress has been a huge factor in how I'm feeling.  We got AC back a few days ago. 

Being sick with no Air is no picnic.  Thank goodness to the guys restoring our power. 

Glad all of you are safe.  I'm not anxious to go through any more hurricanes.
