I'm offline for awhile.  My reading and answers has been sketchy I know.  But by now all of you should know I'm moving.  The movers come in two days and my husband has to take all the computer equipment apart and pack it.  Will check back in when it's all over.  I see my rheumie on Weds.

billye, Take a deep breath, back up and punt and we will be awaiting your return. Rest up and don't try to do it all---I know how it goes cause we women want things all in the right place so our "nest" is in order. Hugs Irish ;D

Pooh

Take care and don't overdo.  I know that just went in one ear and out the other, but try!  We will be here when you get back on line.

Well,
I'm back.  Maybe I should say,..what's left of me is back.  Sure enough, I'm in a massive flare.  It's so bad that the Rheumatologist told me he wanted me to start using a patch for pain.  I didn't ask for it.  He commented "I know you are in lots of pain and this will help".  It has helped and I've been able to cut back on the other pain med because of it.

But exhaustion is my biggest problems.  Doesn't help that I'm a little obsessive right now too.  I need to get this all done,....know what I mean??  I sent my husband to bed about 11:00 last night and I kept going.  Several hours later I finally sat down in one of the kitchen chairs to rest.  I fell asleep in my chair almost instantly, fell and whacked the cheekbone/eye socket area.  This morning I have a large knot and a black eye and I'm struggling to stay awake.  The storm has us slowed down.  I'm planning an early bedtime tonight.  I guess something had to stop this nesting I was doing.

Gonna go shower.  I'll try to catch up soon.

Billye,
oh..question.  Any of you ever had your tongue not work normally when you are so tiered?

pudmott

Billye billye billye,
What are you doin girl? You know if you keep punishing your body it will punish you back twice as bad. Having said that i know what you mean about obsessing about things and having to get them done. We never learn do we?

As for the tongue, mine never works properly usually because my foot is in the way of it. In your case yes exhaustion will impair your ability to speak as well as many other things.

Take it easy honey and have an early night. Get some ice on that eye too.

Billye, girl - what Pud said!!! ;D  My fingers are tongue tied tonight! ;)

Anyway, please take it easy, you're going to get yourself hospitalized if you're not careful, and the boxes are not going anywhere!

Take care of yourself now -

Billye, I can relate to the woes of moving.  I moved last weekend too.  I was so stressed because I'm recently separated and had to do all the packing and unpacking my self... I had prof movers, but it is still a big task.  I've been shuffling boxes around for days.  I finally had to stop because my body was screaming, my fingers and hands were numb. Once I sat down I literally couldn't get up. I'm sure you know what I mean... I just goes on and on...I'm having a hard time 'remembering' where I put stuff now too. I'm having a hard time pacing myself too... I know how it feels to want it 'done'... but I had to stop and rest most of today and I plan to rest a good part of tomorrow. Good luck with the rest of it...

lynnmarie219

Oh Billye! My goodness.......

I'm glad that you are getting things done, but please take a rest!!! I know you want it all done now but your body is telling you to STOP!!!! And as Patze said...the boxes will be there even if they have to wait for a few days!

Please rest some and take care of that eye!

irish

billye, I know that I have had trouble making my mouth/tongue say what I wanted when I was really tired.

I would think that you are beyond tired. I bet when they gave you the Pain patch that your body got almost stoned from the patch kicking in plus the fatigue.

I can't imagine how much longer you can keep this up. I wish some one could come and help you. I can't imagine you not ending up in the hospital from this huge stress. If anything I think it makes me realize even more how much "junk" I need to get rid of because my moving days are getting closer. Hubby says he won't move from here but he may not have any choice!!!! LIfe is not certain.

Please, Please, sit down once an hour for 15 minutes to rest and go to bed on time. I know how obsessive one needs to be with moving as I have done it myself several times. There are some things that can't be done until the day before anyway and if you rest you will be more able to cope physically and mentally.

Make your list and cross it off as you do it. All obsessive people do this. When I moved I had list of my list!!!!Irish ;D

Hi Billye:

I do not see how you are able to do what you are doing. I am still recovering from clearing out 50 years' accumulation from our mother's house three years ago. Moving is stressful in the best of circumstances. I am convinced it is what started the flare that I'm still dealing with a couple of years later.

I hope you will take everyone's advice to slow down a bit. Just chip away at the boxes when you are able.

The blinking thing does not sound good. If it were me I would rest for a good 24 hours and if the blinking did not make itself right by then, at that point I would see a neurologist.

Take care and get some rest!
