Hi

I have that perpetually off-balance, drunk, dizzy type feeling 24/7.  The only thing that relieves it somewhat is xanax.  I was wondering how many other's get this yuck symptom.  I think I read that SS can cause this due to swelling in the inner ear?  Is this correct?

I'm seeing my first Rhemotologist very soon.  My latest symptom is swelling in the jooints of my fingers and red, inflamed, itchy knuckles along with daily Raynuds.   after so many years of being ill, (close of 15 years) and terribly fatigued with horrid dry eye and a feeling like I am about to get a flu, I'm terrified that I will be one of those sero-negative people and wont be treated.  At this point I'd just love to try some meds to see if they make a difference!  I hope my Rhem. is open-minded but from what many of you have said so many of them are not.

For the last six months I have begun getting extreme dizziness and nausea just as I am waking up.  It feels as if I have been spinning really fast for a few minutes.  Most of the time I need to make a supreme effort to lay perfectly still until everything falls back into place in my world.  Two of my doctors have told me it may be due to the neuropathy that is effecting my blood pressure.  Laying prone for awhile and trying to move suddenly causes some problem that I can not remember the name.  The remedy is to do what I am doing  - lie still until the world quites spinning then get up slowly so that my blood pressure can adjust to the change of position.

LOL  good remedy because with the dizziness I am not moving anywhere too fast!

Thats been my problem of the day.  For me is a dull-ness vertigo feeling from the back of my head that my neurologist describes as cranial neuropathy but this might be a bit different from what you are getting.
