XRays and Sjogren's

Hi everyone,

I have had to numerous x-rays over the last for dental and breast issues. I have also developed my Sjogren's symptoms in the last year. Has anyone heard any relation between xrays and Sjogren's. With all the dental and other issues that many of us have had, I was just wondering.

I have not heard of any correlation between the two, but that doesn't mean there isn't any, just nothing that I know of for sure! I'm also one who hasn't had to have many x-rays in my life or at least nothing that I would consider over and above the norm!

I'll watch this post to see what others have to say as well!

I developed b. cancer last year.  Was it the cause of too many mammograms?  I think not.  (Probably the long-term use of HRT.)   I doubt x-rays had anything to do with my SS, as I've not had an over abundance.  Just my 2 cents. Lucy

Hi Wynter,

I too have had a lot of x-rays over the years (dental/breast/and otherwise); and I also don't think that I have every seen anything about a connection; but then I wasn't looking for one.  Hummm, that's an interesting connection you've made, have you asked your doctors?  Maybe they've heard or seen something.  Let us know if you find anything.

I haven't had a lot until I was diagnosed... but in this past year I know I have made the comment I am afraid I will glow in the dark. I have had a lot of nuclear testing done as well and that concerns me too. I wonder if you ran a Gieger counter over me would i register. lol
