New Appointment tomorrow

I thought I'd let everyone know I have aan appointment tomorrow at 1:30pm. It's for to get my Thyroid Glands tested and some other stuff. I also may be there for while because I may be put on an IV because they'll be taking blood tests and I probably will need it anyways. =) I also(As f Monday) have an infection in my top teeth, so maybe I'll be getting medicine for that.

If I find anything out I'll tell you guys! =)

Also, I forgot to mention. I called the denist today and I guess they don't do any appointments from my insurance until after 2009. Then I looked at what my insurance covers, and I guess it covers x-rays, clean ups and fillings. Which I need more than that. And If I don't find away to get what I need fast I could get very very sick...and die. My teeth are in very poor contion. (Like most of my teeth are broken down to the gum line, and some of them the gums have completely covered them. =(

So most likely I will have to wait until I get on SS. If I get aproved. Which I will find out sometime next month.

If anyone has any ideas on how to help with anything, feel free to tell me.

Good news:

First, my appointment went well with my doctor. He didn't test my Thyroid glands, but I got the ensure and another Rheumalogist appointment for August 22nd.
He seems a liitle bit worried, persay. Because of this very dry spot on my ankle.

I call my insuance to find out if they can Cover the dentist appointment if my teeth problems are health related. They can. As far as I know. I just have to call the Dentist on Monday and ask them to call my insurance. So Hopefully all will be well.

Well you got several pieces of good news.....thats great!  It's always nice to hear when others here get good news for a change!

I'm so glad that your dental appointment will be covered as well, as your teeth need the proper medical care.  It sounds like you are on the road to getting some answers in several areas....let us know how the appts go!

And something else, the ensure seems to helping ALOT. I feel like I have more engery already. Just my tummy seems to be upset, probably from something else though. =)

I believe the upset is due to Sjogren's Syndrome.

I'm also glad to see things are starting to look up for you!  I'm a bit puzzled that he didn't do any tests to check out your thyroid though, did he say why?

Dentists, oh boy, I've spent a small fortune on my mouth and I'm still having to shell out a lot (my insurance doesn't pay much at all).  The only thing I find frustrating about this dentist is that he's not well versed in AI's, but I guess I can't have everything (even though I do try to! ).

Please keep us updated and take care of yourself, okay?

I thought it was kind of weird because I was having craps at the same time. I think I was at 147 when I first found out I had Sjogren's. Now I'm at 124. Now I can't get past 130 no matter how much I eat. =)

I read somewhere that it was, but I never remember it.

I hope also. I'm hopeing to call the dentist tomorrow and see what they can do.

He didn't say why. Matter of fact he didn't even mention it.

I've never even been to the dentist really. I did once in 2006 I think, and after the dentist did some x-rays, he said he was going to send me to a specialist and he never did....never heard him since.

Yeah, I'm not surprised to hear of your weight loss. 

There are lots of people here who fight weight gain from medication side affects.

I also think sometimes I eat stuff (and gain weight) trying to settle my stomach.

I barely gain any weight now. I just have tummy fat.(Probably from the Prednisone)  I tried working out a little but that seem to have made my tummy worse with the hurting. So I don't know what to do besides walking alot whenever I go into town with my Fiancee. Just when I walk alot I get hives like things. So I can't do too much.

On a side note, I got a call from the dentist I want to see, and it looks like they are not making appointments with people with my current insurance. Right now anyways. So Thursday I'll be calling my insurance and seeing if they can find someone or something. It's annoying me. An infection could appear any minute, and then I'd be sick for another couple days(Throwing up sick)- It's amazing I haven't had an infection for about a week now.

Hi JannaLee, you are so right, insurance companies will makes tons of people suffer needlessly for the bottom line; are you making any head way with them yet?  Now I hope that you using only the approved torture methods on the insurance reps?  Remember, only approved methods allowed - wouldn't want to get a bad rap now would we?

My August 6th appointment went well. Now lets hope I got accepted.

As for the dentist....I need to call my insurance and find a new dentist.
