Hello to all of the old timers and new,
I have been missing in action for awhile. I have kept an eye on the forum but haven't responded much.
Chele and I took a trip to Florida two weeks ago. Our kids rented a condo on Anna Marie Island and paid for our gas to and from. Chele was so excited to get out of town for awhile. We took two days to drive down and two days back. Chele handled the car ride pretty well.
The ocean was great. Three of the days there wasn't hardly any waves, so Chele was able to go in the water! Of course she had #80 sun screen on as well as a wide brim hat. She was able to stay out of the sun for the most part. Out son bought a huge umbrella that screws deep into the sand for her to stay under while at the beach.
Our son and his wife, who live outside of Tampa, and our daughter, her husband and our granddaughter flew down from Fort Wayne, were with us the whole week! Chele was in seventh heaven! It was good week for her. It's been along time since I have seen her so happy and relaxed.
Chele only needed to use her inhaler once in Florida, but had to use it twice on the day we got home. Go figure!!.
We take what God gives us and he really blessed us for a week. Chele is relatively the same with her health. Breathing is still a problem and the numbness on her right side is still a pain. I think she has finally got her sugar and blood pressure under control.
This my busy season for me. School is closed and all of the hard work begins. I have 7 weeks to get everything ready for the new school year which begins August 20th.
Chele and I still keep all of you in our daily prayers. You all have helped us out greatly over the past years. We hope everyone has a HAPPY SUMMER!!

God's blessings,

Mark....

Aww Mark, this is great news.  Say Hi to Chele for me, I'm a bit lack in my e-mails.  Hubby has been down with the breathing problems, but after his hospital stint, they have prescribed "in house" oxygen and WOW! what a difference it has made for him.  Just being able to sit for an hour or two with it, has helped him a great deal. (He will NEVER use full time. :-\ MEN! {sorry no offense :D})

I am so happy to hear that you too have a family like mine.  What would we do without our children?  No matter what happens in life, they are our biggest blessing. ;D

Take care and I hope the rest of your summer is great also.  Thanks so much for keeping up updated on Chele.

Hugs and God Bless,
Pooh

Hi Mark  :)

It's really lovely to read that Chele has had a nice time for a change because she had a pretty rotten year of it. Good to hear things are under control. I hope you have a happy summer too despite all the work you've got to do. (I know the feeling!)

Take care - Scottie  :)

Hi Mark, so glad to hear that you 2 had a respite after all the troubles you've faced over the last year or so. Time on the beach, and in the water, with family near...sounds like just what you both needed!

I hope Chele's control of BP and blood sugar continues, and other problems start to recede too; and you don't overdo as you prepare for the next school year.

Mark and Chele,
So glad to hear of your excellent Florida vacation!  I'm glad Chele is feeling better.  I'm doing better myself and look forward to a nice summer.    Lucy

That was pretty sneaky of you---driving to Florida without consulting us first. Yeahhhhhhh, you had fun and we didn't even have to know. Glad to hear it was so good for you and especially for Chele. I am surprised that the heat didn't keep her inside, but maybe it is too early in the season to be too hot.

Glad you got there and back safely and that Chele enjoyed the trip. Mark, get some rest when you can. You will have a busy summer as August is not that far away. Irish ;D

The temperature was in the low 80's for a couple of days and then up to low 90's. Chele stayed in the condo or in the Air conditioned car most of the time. There was a good breeze when we were at the beach. The molds, grasses and pollens were low most of the time while we were there. The humidity was also low at he beach. During the hot part of the day Chele would play with our granddaughter Norah in the condo and they would both take naps together God just gave us a blessing that week!
Pooh, it is good to hear your hubby is getting some relief. This not being able to breath takes it's toll!

God's blessings,

Mark....

Mark,
This is wonderful news.  I've been missing for awhile and am now trying to catch up with people.  It fills my heart up to hear of the wonderful time the two of you had.  Especially after the year you have had.

Great to hear from you and also great to hear of your wonderful trip.

When things are going well, we think of a visit like that as just a normal part of our lives, almost take it for granted, but at times like this we understand it for the blessing it really is. I hope you both continue to have blessed moments.

Check in when you can.

It's great hearing from you and about your great time with the kids.  What a wonderful vacation that had to be.  I'm so glad Chele and you were able to get away and enjoy the beach and your family.  What a blessed week.  Take care and give Chele a hug for me.

God Bless,
