I'VE BEEN WAITING AND WORRIED........

I've been waiting and hoping for a Dx that never seems to come....

But, I did blood tests Monday and Tuesday I GOT A REFERRAL TO A RHEUMATOLOGIST!!!!
So now I'm KINDA HAPPY!!!!!



I'll let you know what happens on the 11th!

No, I don't have a clue.  All I know is that I had the blood work on Monday and my primary doc called for an appt.  plus the rheummy called for an appt. the same time!

Must be something....wouldn't think one would get a rheummy referral for nothing.(?)

Probably Hodgkins.  sigh....

Best of Luck at the Rhuemy.  That was a fast appointment, I had to wait over two months to get mine!!

I know.  That's why I think it must be serious!

There are only six (6) rheummies in our city of 100,000.  Otherwise one must go north or south 300 miles.

Many have to wait months for an appointment.

Oh, well......I'll just wait it out and be brave, yes?

On the 11th imagine all of us walking in there with you...because we are all concerned for you and wondering what is up.  It is kind of cruel to call YOU for an appointment without telling why.

If you are losing sleep over this you could call and ask for your test results over the phone.  Then you will have time to absorb and read about whatever it is before you go in...and write down any questions.

I mean after all, the test results belong to you.

By all means, have them tell you the results or if you have a fax machine, have them fax the results to you.  Janna is right, the results do belong to you and you have a right to know what is going on. 

Isn't it so frustrating having to wait months to see a doctor?  I thought waiting for an endo was tough, I now have to wait to see the pulmonalogist too; boy their unions are tough!!!

Hang in there Nussy and let us know what the rheumy thinks!

Thanks to you all for your concern and kind words.  I always feel better when I come here, as you are all so knowledgeable and nice.

Patze, I don't think we even have pulmonalogists here.  I asked a local about them once and they told me I'd find them on the Pullman cars hooked to the trains that go north to Alaska!  We have a very shallow gene-pool here......

Maybe I'll just wait.  If I did have the results faxed to me, you guys would have to interpret them. I used to sit in on the med lectures at UC Berkeley while waiting for my engineering class, but only learned enough to be dangerous.  Plus, that was back when dirt was new and things must have changed, yes?

Anyway, at least I'm moving ahead.  Thank you all !
