Swollen Cheek?

So here's something new... since yesterday my left cheek is warm to the touch, red, and a bit swollen.  When I touch the inside of my cheek with my tongue on that side it feels warmer than the other side too.  It doesn't hurt at all though.  Well it doesn't seem to hurt.  Itss so easy to not notice mild pain between all the severe pain and the Ultram and Morphine.

Anyway I'm not sure what to make of this.  I've also been exhausted and feeling horrible, but I thought that was just from having 2 physical therapy sessions and a sleep study last week.  Also since yesterday I've been feeling nauseous for the first time in a while.

Any thoughts anyone?

Thanks!

call your dr ;)....no seriously new symptoms, pain, fever, nausea? Those all add up to merit a phone call in my book....sorry I know thats not what you wanted to hear :D...but I think it would be best.

Feel better soon

I agree with Kim you need to call your doctor... Could be a bad tooth or something you are not aware of and it can make you very ill. The doc will know better than I do...

Good luck God Bless

Hi  :)

I'm with the others. when we're on a lot of pain meds certain conditions could slip through without the pain alert that goes with them! Heat and swelling bring infection to mind. the doc's the way to go.

Take care - Scottie  :)    (Let us know how it goes!)

It sure sounds like it could be an infection of some sort, especially with the nausea and general malaise. I hope you have talked to your doctor already to see what might be done.

Thanks guys!  No it's certainly not what I want to hear  ::)  But I will give my doctor a call.  I also noticed that I seem more nauseous the more upright I am.  Makes me wonder if my inner ear has anything to do with it.

I'll be giving my doc a call shortly.  And I should probably cancel physical therapy.  The last thing I feel like doing right now is walking back and forth in a 97 degree pool :(

Well my swollen check is from swollen salivary glands.  So I guess I'm having a flare  :(

Hi Lauren  :)

It's better to know what the swelling is. Sorry you're having a flare. I hope it's one of the short ones and that you feel more comfortable soon.

Take care - Scottie  :)
