Has anyone used coconut oil for dry mouth with success?

Very recently (12/2022) YouTuber Dr berg has put up a video on sjs. Please don't ask me for the link. It should not be hard to find. He describes sjs and what he thinks might be helpful in terms of supplements. He also mentions the coconut oil.
SLE, Sj.  Syndrome, IC, Atypical Trigeminal Neuralgia, ITP (low platelets)... Various meds and lots of vitamins. Trying to eat healthy; seems to help a little.

That sounds like it could help. Also, it is a healthy fat or lubricant for us to use. I would think that a person could take a call teaspoon full and swish and spit or else take a Q-tip and moisten it in the oil and just swab in the mouth. And it tastes good also. Best idea I have heard in a long time.

One thing I will mention about using oils in our mouth and airway. I don't think it would be a good practice to do this right before you go to bed. Anytime an oily product is placed in the nose or the mouth there is a chance of it becoming more thin as it warms up by our body heat. This can cause it to slide down our airway into out lungs without us even realizing it. This can cause what is called oil emulsion pneumonia and none of us want that as hard to get over.

Do not panic as it makes sense to just swab your mouth a couple hours prior to laying down any time or going to bed. We are not doctors on this site so any information that has been used by others and spread by word of mouth is not a prescription. Any time you hear of something that might alleviate some of your symptoms it behooves all of us to make sure we mention this to out doctor to make sure it won't harm us. Thanks. Take care all. Merry Christmas.....I hope everyone thinks we have enough snow for a while. :) meirish
