Have any of you done any investigating about foods that might help us with our inflammatory issues?? I have just been to my new kidney specialist and had testing and will go back in 3 months. I have been looking at ginger tea for anti-inflammatory help with kidneys and aid in healing or removing some toxic materials, etc. I have found a ginger tea with only lemon in it and it is rather good. I am going to drink a small cup of it every day or so as it is tasty and it is supposed to be a diuretic also plus help with healing.

I also came across some interesting articles about Bok Choy. II love Bok Choy and I know that one can eat it raw in vegetable salads. Usually cut up more fine or grate it per articles. It has an enormous amount of nutrients and helps with the heart, digestive..list goes on and on. The one thing that can be a problem for some people is that it can affect blood clotting for some people due to its rather high level of Vitamin K. Something one would have to discuss with doc especially if on blood thinners. I think I am going to add some cooked Book Choy to my diet in some "not fancy" stir fries. If you do search soon this vegetable there is a lot of info concerning the large amount of nutrients it contains and how good it is for us. Have to read several articles to glean more info plus side effects, etc.

I am also being more active in trying out the cherry juice that one can buy. It is speedy but I drink small amounts every day. It is high in carbs and I have type 2 diabetes. It is supposed to come highly recommended as an anti-inflammatory for aches and pains and arthritis problems. You have to read labels and buy only the   true red cherry juice with only the few additives..citric acid etc as preservative, etc. You can find sugar free also...Really quite a natural product. It is good mixed with carbonated water or diet 7 up to help stretch out the amount of fluid one drinks.

I found other veggies that had anti-inflammatory properties. One was carrot juice. I need to investigate that more. It is getting interesting to research all these veggies as it is good to eat more of them and especially good if we can find some that help us with our health issues. Share any information or thoughts. You are very welcome to share your ideas and experiences as I would think most would find it interesting and educational. Thanks. meirish
