new diagnosis - calcinosis cutis

Does anyone else have this problem?  It is calcium salt deposits in the skin.  Dermatologist did a biopsy, which also determined an ulcer.  It has been extremely painful and has been 9 months healing.  I'm getting conflicted comments from doctors as to whether this in related to Sjogrens.

This diagnosis is a bit too general to actually say if there is a connection, but for at least two forms of CC there are proven links to autoimmune or immune mediated disease.
Dystrophic Calcifactition usually has no blood or tissue markers and has been linked to various AID like lupus and dermatomyositis.
Metastatic  Calcification occurs in people with elevated calcium phosphate for whatever reason, but Sarcoidosis (immune mediated) is one known cause of that elevation.
It also plays a part in limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis (CREST), a limited form of scleroderma; and as a late symptom of several chronic illnesses.
You would need to know if there are any blood levels out of range for calcium, phosphate or kidney values.
