I have been reading online that Acupuncture can help dry eyes and stimulate the glands that produce tears.  Some studies looked promising.  Has anyone tried it for Dry Eyes, or Dry Mouth?

-------
Patients receiving acupuncture treatments had significantly greater positive patient outcomes. Acupuncture increased lacrimal gland secretion, improved tear film stability, and slowed tear film breakdown.

Patients receiving acupuncture plus lubricant eye drops had a 76.92% improvement rate in dry eye symptoms. Patients receiving only lubricant eye drops had a 53.85% improvement rate. Tear film stability improved significantly with acupuncture.

I have tried acupuncture with different acupuncturists and each time I experience a severe worsening of symptoms
following treatment, such as increased joint pain and neuropathy. It has never helped me with tears or saliva.
Some people have told me it does help them though.
I think it really depends on who is giving the acupuncture.
