Making eye ointment

I have finally found an eye drop that really helps me.
It's an anti-inflammatory & antihistamine drop named Zaditen (active ingredient Ketotifen).
I use preservative-free individual bottles.
Problem is: They evaporate from my eyes very quickly (like every other drop I've tried).
Therefore, the relief is short-lived.
They do not exist is a thicker, ointment-like form and no compounding pharmacy will make them into ointment for me.
Does anyone have any idea how you can turn an eye drop into an eye ointment/gel at home?

My best bet would be to mix it with pure castor oil - it's the thickest drop I know and lasts the longest. You might also get the extra benefit such as it's antibacterial properties.

Hope you can tolerate them? We might have discussed this before, but can't remember your reply.

Thanks for the suggestion Maria, but I don't do well at all with castor oil.
It also doesn't seem to mix in well- the drops just sit on the castor oil without being absorbed.
