interesting, and thank you for posting.

But how do we get these healthy gut microbiota?   I know people take probiotics, however I have read that the stomach acid kills those off before they get to the gut.
Dry eyes (MGD), nose, mouth, occasional labyrinthitis,  dry skin , mouth ulcers, constant but fluctuating fatigue, IBS.  Blood tests and Schirmers negative,no Sjogrens dx yet.   Omega 3 algal oil, multivitamins, Evolve eye drops, Xailin eye ointment,  moisturiser (Instituto Espanol 10% urea).

Its immensely complicated and much more research is needed.  I do think eventually medicine will figure out the micro biome and how to manipulate it to improve health outcomes.  Not any time soon though.   Probiotics don?t hurt but if it was that easy we would all already be gorging on them.   Fecal transplants have been tested in mice quite a bit (not with SJS but other diseases) to a positive effect...so they are ?working on it?.    No harm in eating healthy, avoiding antibacterial soaps/cleaners  and minimizing stress while research continues. .

Hashimotos thyroiditis, Primary SJS, IBS, autoimmune hearing loss, leucopenia, arthritis, asthma.
