Hello

Found this interesting research paper. It says increased levels of BAFF is found in most sjogren patients.

This could help in diagnosis and also help researchers in new drug Discovery.

Thx.  This is intriguing.  In addition, it is the closest to any possibility for cure or control...or even a possible decline in the advancement the disease.  When I say that, I mean within a generation--or less.  IF this is accurate.  The problem...as always...is accurate studies---actually, following enough subjects over a long enough time.  This disease (known by our oral histories alone) is one which waxes and wanes.  Takes a long time to overcome one of us.  Finding that many people at the same level of intensity of the disease is the challenge.  (not to mention how do they tell??)....thx for the info/post.  VERY interesting/promising.

Thanks Markt

This is dated September 2016, almost 2 years ago. Results seems to be promising, so has this drug been approved beyond the trials?

markt

Its in Phase-2 trials through fall 2019.  It may be available now on a case by case basis via FDA Expanded Access.

Do you know anyone one who has taken this drug?

If yes what are the improvements they found.

Did you ask your rhumetologist about this drug? What did he say?

Thanks for sharing. I wonder what, if any, progress was made on this over the past year?
