Good Morning,
I am restarting Plaquenil after a 6 month break. My joint pain is pretty annoying so I have been taking Advil to help till Plaquenil kicks in. I know you can't take them together how far apart do they need to be taken?
Thanks,

I am not sure you should take them both at the same time as in "together at all". There are so mamy drugs that don't go well with the NSAIDS. If it was me I would switch to Tylenol. You may end up checking with your doctor. Good luck. Irish

Dry2010,

I take Plaquinil daily and I use Ibuprofen as needed.  I don't take Ibuprofen everyday, but I don't shy away from it when I need it.  I wasn't aware that you couldn't take the two together.

I think a good place to go for drug information is your pharmacist.  My daughter teaches Pharmacy students at Drake University and I'm going to ask her about it.  If she tells me anything good, I'll let you know.  😉

I hope that it works out for you. Have you tried Boswiella or Curcumon? Spelling are evading me today in a flourish of dyslexia that my spell checker can not correct.
