Cough?

Hello!  I am a 57 yr old female, diagnosed with Sjogrens in 2014.  I recently developed a chronic cough.  I am going to my regular GP to check it out.  But I am also wondering if it is related to Sjogrens.  The strange thing is, I am asymptomatic in every other way....no dry mouth, or eye...all mucus function is fine.  My question is, can I have dry lung, without any other outward symptom?  Any and all thoughts/feedback will be greatly appreciated...thanks!!

My chronic cough was diagnosed as GERD.  I have found that Tums is a cough drop for me.

Yes, a person can have dry lungs as the mucus in our lungs can get thick. It can cause a cough as we try to keep the airway clear. However, a person with Sjogrens should see an immunologist and get baseline testing, etc to check out how our lung function is. Also there are some lung issues that can develop with Sjogrens and we need to be monitored by a Pulmonologist over the years. I see one once a year now since I have stabilized. Good luck. Irish
