I don't feel well when supplement with vitamin D and also if I go in the sun. Dilemma because very low D in bloodtests and have related issues(worsening osteoporosis etc)

Has anyone in same boat tried an annual injection instead and fared all right?

https://www.mja.com.au/journal/2005...-megadose-cholecalciferol-treatment-vitamin-d an injection of a megadose of Vit D

related study: http://www.healio.com/rheumatology/...loskeletal-pain-in-patients-with-fibromyalgia which found a smaller megadose of Vit D as cholecalciferol could help with fatigue and pain in Fibromyalgia too

I would recommend you google Vit d injections and read the articles on side effects.   It doesn?t look like it is less likely to have side effects.  In fact some of the side effects are evident at high doses and would be difficult to duplicate with low dose oral supplements that are absorbed over time.

Each of us is unique so this is really something to ask your doctor.   I hope you can figure out how to get your levels up.

thanks, yep I did get  a chance to hear from my rheumatologist since I posted that and he recommends against them, said they are hard on the body etc
He says if I can't tolerate oral D3 or the sun that I should try oral D2 or a tanning salon.

I really value forums though for learning from other's experiences as I have learned over the years that dif docs can have  very varying opinions or not understand my body if I don't fit the "standardized care" advice.....tend to be an outlier often. So I thought it would be interesting to hear if others had any info on it from personal experience, but have pretty much decided against pursuing it at this point.
