Testosterone eye drops

According to my optometrist DIL the mucus membrane of the eyes don't absorb a lot of anything but the puncta or inner corner of the eye will absorb or drain out anything that is put on the eye and it can get into systemic circulation. Also, fluid and meds will drain through this area and down into the nasal area where it is more easily absorbed in mucus membrane.

If you have any tears at all and cry some you will have the tears drain down into the nose which can be a wonderful experience.!!! Irish

That is such a strange story...wonder why he didn't put the paper on his tongue?

I have used testosterone cream as well. It helps with fatigue but it doesn't seem to help my dry eyes.
What percentage do you use?

I haven't tried DHEA that way, only orally and had allergic reactions to every brand I tried.
Maybe I'll give it a try when I get "brave" again.

Irish- It's so strange then that the Restasis eye drops don't seem to have any systemic effect.
I'm so hypersensitive I'm certain I'd feel some change, and doctors have told me as well that Restasis eye drops don't go systemic.
On the other hand, I have had a particular eye drop cause me severe dry mouth every time I use it, so what your
optometrist told you rings true!
