Hi Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone on here has had an abnormal EEG?  I have never had a seizure, etc, but my EEG report can back with two possible weak Epileptiform discharges.  I have to go back in a week to have another more extensive EEG.  Like I said, I have never had a seizure, I am a 35 year old male.  I have had countless MRIs, with and without contrast, but all are negative.  Could this be a result of the Sjogrens?  I do get migraines, brain fog, etc.

Thanks for your input.

In rare cases people will have seizures with autoimmune diseases but lupus is the disease that seems to be the disease that is prone to them. You should just relax cause you will not know until all the testing is done.

It might be that this will be something that you have had for years or could have been born with. The good thing is that you had the testing and found it. This way if medication is going to be needed as preventative for seizures you will be taken care of.

We have had a couple of people on here who have had seizures but I don't remember if they had a Sjogrens diagnosis.  There are so many times when we get scares with our health and I am 74 years old and have gotten to the point where I don't worry much anymore. I learned long ago that the worry and stress that goes with it really does a job on autoimmune disease and causes increase in symptoms. It is just better to wait til they tell you the news. If it is good you are home free, if it is worse you can worry then and you won't be all exhausted from premature worry. Good luck. Irish
