Hi,

If you are taking Vitamin B supplements, which are you using. I have Now Foods B-100, but is 100mg (or mcg, depending on the vitamin) overkill? I had no ill effects from the dose, but  it seems quite a bit of overkill (RDAs of 500-6667(!) for most of the Bs).

I'm thinking of dropping this at least to the B-50, but was just wondering what everyone takes and how it is tolerated.

Hope everyone has had a great start to the new year!

I used to take a high potency B complex, but I now take Life Extension?s Two Per Day multivitamins. The two per day multivitamins contain well over the RDR of B vitamins. Plus they contain all of the other vitamins and many important minerals. I feel they are a very good multivitamin.

I cannot post the website link, but just type in Life Extensions; pick products, and then pick products A to Z. You can then compare it to what you are taking.

B Vitamins are water soluble so any that your body does not need will just wash out in the urine.
ANA 1:160; SS-A+; MSG +; Plaquenil, Rituxan infusions, Restasis, HRT, Curcumin, Calcium, CoQ10, NAC, Resveratrol, Whole Omega, Omega 3, R Lipoic Acid, Acetyl L Carnitine, Krill Oil, Mag. Threonate, Bio-Collagen UC II, NAD+, & Vit A, B, C, D, E, K 1 & 2.

I am taking a CVS brand, 500 mg per day (dosage recommended by my PCP). FYI not that you want to over do it, and each of us is different, but I've read you have to take very high doses of B to reach toxic levels.

Thanks everyone!

I just spoke with my mom (a nurse) and she mentioned that the 100 complex is a common dosage. I think I might stick with what I have, as I noticed an immediate improvement to some spinal/nerve pain in my back/shoulder/neck.

Joe S. - the NOW B-100 does have Inositol - I was wondering about that, too. Thanks for the recommendation.
