Dry eyes, with tears streaming down my face?

I had a flare up with my eyes being red and irritated recently and the eye doc put me on lotemax steroid drops. It's helped a lot. I can only stay on for two weeks? Maybe you are flaring a bit from the uti? I've also used warm compresses to help lubrication. Yes it does seem like it's always something. Hang in there Elaine.

Honestly,  we get the greatest education here, tho' it comes at a high physical and emotional price.

Also, don't know if this is the best place to share but I have seen a benefit from using Alaway (ketotifen) drops every night. My eyes were always red and irritated in the mornings and often crusty from meiobian (sp?) blockage. I have lots of allergy/mast cell issues and this at least keeps the inflammation in the eyelids down. I use Refresh Optive the rest of the time.

Sounds like an allergy to me...Im going through the same thing last 2 months. I have never had so much burning pain ever. My eye doc said eyes are ok. Antibiotics seem to be drying too..probably not helping. Lack of humidity Im guessing.

The weather changes greatly affect my eyes. Nothing helping to relieve either.

I have found that sometimes ketotifen in addition to my normal lubricating drops also helps me, especially if my eyes are burning.

Excessively teary eyes was the first clear sign that there was something wrong with my eyes.

Before that, for a few months beforehand the only thing I noticed was increased sand in the eye in the mornings which I didn't pay much attention to.

I have sad memories of an early morning winter walk in Jan 2016, when I left my house as normal and came back with uncontrollable teary eyes. A month later sudden dry mouth amongst many other problems. This winter I am trying to avoid going out, I feel that my eyes want to produce more moisture when outside but not much happens and they get easily irritated.
