The AMA made it illegal in the late 40's early 50's. It had been used in Europe for decades. The TENS units was the first break through that was allowed by AMA. If you are looking for history Nickola Tesla, Darius Dinshaw, Royal Raymond Rife, and Hulda Clark would be good places to start.

interesting---but I read that its not the same as TENs--I did try TENs when things first went south for me about 92 and it just wasn't a good fit for me, I was so acute right then it even made me suspect it was irritating me more, I was in very bad way with cervical spine (and probly my immune system too but didn't know it at the time) that got set off after an abdominal surgery and unnecessary, ill-advised and damaging chiropractic manipulations.

how is modern FSM different than TENS used at traditional PT?

Joe that is cool you are such an expert, I am familiar with Hulda Clark and actually have a zapper a friend made for me a couple years ago but haven't tried it yet because it seemed sort of out there even for me lol but a good friend of mine swears by hers. It does sound a bit like tin foil hat stuff yet I do believe in a lot of other things HC talked about before she passed.

I have competing parts, the part that was indoctrinated with empiricism and the part that knows there is that which we do not know and thus should keep open mind. I like it when those things can intersect........like acupuncture

A TENS unit is designed to trigger endorphin release. It generates a frequency of around 10,000 Hz, which is the crown chakra frequency.

Darius Dinshaw has the meridian frequencies in his  book, "Let There Be Light"

Hulda Clark has a listing of parasites and the frequencies that kill them. Her work prompted me to get a programmable frequency generator works with windows XP. (I have two) It works by shattering the structure of the parasite.
