Okay, based on this thread and MetalFae's recent one on the same subject, I'm jumping on the bandwagon. Luckyvitamin.com is having a sale today, so while reordering curcumin, I added ubiquinol to my cart. We'll see what happens!

I see no reason why it shouldn't work for you as well...
I can't understand why no doctor has mentioned Ubiquinol to me.
Could have saved me a year of anguish!

Hi Sharon! What brand did you purchase of this stuff? There's like a million to choose from! Ha!

Sharon

I use NOW FOODS brand, but only because it was most affordable I found (I order via internet).
I imagine any reputable brand with the same active ingredient would work just as well.
Just make sure to get one that's at least 100mg.

My ubiquinol arrived today and I just took my first dose. I decided to start at 100 mg per day after reading this supplement could cause low blood pressure. I generally have low blood pressure and don't want it to go too low and cause dizziness. I hope 100 mg per day is enough to have a positive effect on my symptoms.

Wasn't aware it could lower blood pressure.
I too have low blood pressure and didn't notice it had any effect on it.
In any case, others have had success on 100mg and I myself have lowered from 200mg to 100mg
since it gave me more saliva than I really needed.
Best of luck!  :D

CoQ10 won't drastically lower blood pressure. It can lower it a few points, but not drastically. It is not like some of the drugs on the market that can rapidly and noticeably lower the blood pressure.

I believe the recommended dose is 200 mg a day for lowering blood pressure, but even that dose  is not going to drop the bottom out of anyone's blood pressure.

When I started taking CoQ10 I started at 200 mg a day, but I dropped down to 100 mg a day and it works just fine for saliva. I now have sufficient saliva most of the time and no longer need to be sure I have water with me at all times. I also no longer sleep with water at my bedside and I don't need to drink water at night.
