Wanted to let you all know the high dose vit B2 (4 x 100 mg tablets/day) a knowledgeable nutritionist who works with ex polio patients suggested to me is really helping my dry eyes both at home & work with the pc, lights, air con.
I take 3 tablets in the morning & 1 tablet at lunch as I found my eyes bombed out without the lunch time tablet.
Being water soluable the vit B2 should be ok for my body.

It would be lovely if the improvement reaches the point where I don't need eye drops anymore.
Hopeful I think!

An SS friend who had to have surgery on one of her eyes was informed it would probably make her eyes drier.
Surprise!  She doesn't use eye drops at all anymore.  I'm soooooo happy for her.
Told her I want the operation lol even though she had a hard time with the op

Maybe some of you would benefit from vit B2.

Hi Lotus! Interesting thought on the B2. My neurologist has me on 2 tabs of B2 daily for migraines daily, she called it expensive pee since whatever the body doesn't use it voids through urine. It sure is expensive for sure, but it does help for migraines!
I can tell you that two is defenitly not enough to make a difference in dry eyes, so maybe four would do it. That would be nice!

I as well just started taking 500 mg of riboflavin daily for my migraines because I haven't been able to tolerate the drugs I have tried.

Tharrell, I am glad to hear you have had good results with the vitamin B2.  It makes me feel hopeful.

I went up to 6/day for awhile.
Nutritionist said it builds up so reduce to no more than 4/day.
I use Natures Own 100 mg tablets which are cheap.

Of course vitamin A helps the eyes.
I eat food containing vit A as I found the Nautres Own vit A contained synthetic palmite which certainly messed my body up.

Besides sleeping pills & if you want to call thyroxine a drug (it's not really) I only use nutritional products to manage my symptoms very well
ie glyconutrient real food technology products (ambrotose complex, plus etc), vit D, fish oil & iron tablets from naturopath.

I also eat very healthy, hardly any refined sugar or processed foods.
Meat & vegies/salad, buckwheat pasta, brown rice, sprouted wheat wholemeal spelt bread, small amount of fruit.
