Yes, about the scaring. Healing is normal for me. But, I scar more than usual of late.

Cuts, scars, breakouts, etc., seem to take forever to heal since I started to have Sjogren's symptoms. Frustrating, isn't it?

Count me in.

Cuts, scratches, tiny pin pricks, sores, etc, take forever (months) to heal and leave noticeable scars. And I am not on any medications that would cause this.

I had a little skin biopsy and I think the healing was normal. But it left a scar, and I think it is a tiny keloid.  I read that straight tea tree oil applied twice a day can help.  I have been applying it now and again and it seems ever so slightly lighter.  It is hard for name to remember because it STINKS.  A friend of mine said her father, who is a doctor, said that people with AI disease sometimes scar badly, weird.  Anyone ever hear of this? Anyone ever hear of Tea Tree a Oil Helping?

For years doctors would hand out Vit E oil to rub into scars after they had healed following surgery. It is supposed to help keep the scar movable and more smooth healing. Irish

I have not been diagnosed with SJS or AI.  I have loads of pain, but I generally do not have any problems healing.  In fact, my last surgery (excision of flesh about the size of a quarter) healed in 1/2 - 1/3 the amount of time that is considered 'normal', with no abnormal scarring.  The surgeon was overtly shocked.  My lip biopsy had healed enough in 2 days to run my tongue over the surface without feeling any pain.  Today is Day 5 and it's definitely healed.  I have a tiny lump of scar tissue that I don't feel unless I make a concerted effort to find it.  The ENT told me to expect a small lump of scar tissue.
