Well , I am not feeling as well today as I had stated previously that I thought my plaquenil might be working earlier than predicted . Saw my wonderful PC today who is looking into the early detection test for me and wants me to see specialists in Boston. I got a script for tegretol for my jaw pain . She was not happy with my ENT or rheumie that much and gave me some good advice. She said that patients that research their condition can get help much faster and to run from any that prefer you stay in the dark about your health. ( i have had drs tell me to not go on the internet and get false info ). I agree, knowledge is power. My job outlook is grim and she told me she will help with any type of benefits i might end up needing.

HalleluYAH for your awesome PCP.

Oh, and I don't trust a doctor who tells me don't research the internet. Just as I don't trust a doctor who will not discuss and disclose findings on any tests. ;)

It is good news but a setback nonetheless, i thought i would be well on my way to recovering by now after countless trips to specialists . Its hard being patient when you have lost your quality of life that you had not so long ago !

Good point, and yes it must feel like a setback. However, you were a bit stuck and at least your PCP sounds like he is headed in the right direction. That is progress, even though it doesn't feel like it at the moment.
