I'm the one that's nagged!

My husband is very negative about things I do that he doesn't like....

No wonder I ignore him.

Article left out some salient findings... go figure?

"Individuals who regularly experience stress in their relationships with their partner, children, family, friends or neighbours are two to three times more likely to die prematurely, according to new research.
The study, carried out by scientists at the University of Copenhagen and published in the Journal of Epidemiology and Community Health, also found that unemployed men are most at risk of going to an early grave."

"Conclusions Stressful social relations are associated with increased mortality risk among middle-aged men and women for a variety of different social roles. Those outside the labour force and men seem especially vulnerable to exposure." jech.bmj.com/content/early/2014/04/02/jech-2013-203675

The word is derived from the Scandinavian nagga, which means "to gnaw"

Males are usually reluctant to express their fears, difficulties, sadness, never mind even considering therapy.. so hold things in and/or keep others away by using negative behavior. Setting off a mechanism of alienation.. not just men. But, more typical.
Even an animal in pain will lash out.

Some folks do not know they nag.. grew up in 'high vocal" homes.. it is the way they communicate.
Some people "do" . Some "talk" and any combination.
So is it the nagger? or the the person not listening? or more importantly all the energy wasted while a 'problem' festers.

I think it is the problem festering that is the "danger" not the spousal, child, employer nagging (symptom)
No resolution, an open wound.
