Hi there - I'm am quite new to this forum, although I do lurk and read the messages and find them very comforting.  I am undiagnosed but have many SS symptoms, which hit like a freight train in December.  I am in the SF bay area (East Bay, specifically) and wondered if anyone could share recommendations for good doctors in this area?  I work on the peninsula so am fine with seeing someone over there, as well as in the E.B.  Thank you for any recs and hope you all have a good day!

Dr. Nancy L. Carteron, San Francisco, awesome doc, Sjogren's expert.  Call to make appt now, it will likely be months before you will be able to see her.  She only has a few new patient appointments per week. Totally worth the wait.

Thank you Suslew - I called Dr. Carteron's office and they had a cancellation so got me in on June 2nd!  That was a pleasant surprise.

She must be something because when I called, the receptionist said "Did you call earlier?" and when I said no, she said "Oh, okay.  I have a list here of people I need to call back about new patient appointments and wondered if you were one of them."

I am looking foward to my visit, as much as you can look forward to a doctor's appointment.

I will be very interesting in hearing about your visit with Dr. Carteron, if you'd care to share it with us. I have considered trying to see her myself.

Sure, I will report back after my appointment.  I'm nervous...I'm in semi-denial still and while the thought of seeing such an expert makes me very grateful, it also makes it very REAL.

June 2nd is great!  I walked away from my first appointment so relieved that finally a doctor didn't look at me like I was crazy.  She listened.  And that was such a relief.  I'm also interested in knowing how it goes, so please keep us in the loop and best wishes!
