Scottietottie

Hi  :)

I am very fortunate to live near an internationally reknowned music centre that has, thankfully, always believed in community involvement. They run a programme for the over fifties, called the Silver Programme and the opportunities for music making are extensive from total beginners up to really advanced - there is something for everything. They run programmes for all other agegroups too!

Anyway - I've signed up to about five classes this term. I may drop one or two - I will see how it goes. It gives me something to look forward to though and it gets me out of the house. The venue is only about a 15 minute walk away, so I get a little exercise too.

Today was African Drumming - and it was fantastic. It's good physio for my mending broken arm. I find its a grat way of staving off depression.

Take care - Scottie  :)

I am glad that you are keeping busy. I hope they do not interfere with your Christmas trip. I do not believe I have heard Silent Night on the drums.

Isn't that a contradiction in terms? "Silent" and "drums?"

How is the arm coming along, anyhow?

Love that Sharon! When my son said he wanted drums my heart sank. He made enough noise running through the house like a full track team.

Scottietottie you are one lucky lady to live next to a place that offers so much to do. Have fun!
