Undiagnosed, think I mig be having a flare up

For the past 5 days, I'm having a very hard time getting out of bed and will literally stay in bed all day, maybe leave for 3 hours to meet up for dinner with my SO.  My body feels achy, limbs feel heavy, I'm having jaw pain, ear aches and when I put on moisturizer there is pain when I touch where I believe the salivary glands are located.  My nasal passages feel very dried out also.


Is this a flare? Why are the ears involved?

Thanks for the advice.  I'm not sure the point of going to the dr., I'm undiagnosed and can tell that I don't have an infection, so there really is nothing my dr. can do for me.  I'm uninsured, so will probably wait a few weeks till I see him again to mention the symptoms.  I'll also ask him to refer me to a specialist.

Although, do you think there could be an infection in the gland? I know my ears aren't infected, the pressure feeling in my ears comes and goes.  I'm really torn on what to do, because I was just on antibiotics for sinus pain/pressure and I knew that it wasn't an infection but took the meds anyways. I don't want to get into the habit of taking antibiotics everytime I have sinus/ear/gland pain.

You've brought up some really great points, esp. regarding going to the dr. during a flare to help with a diagnosis.  I think I might consider trying to go within the next few days.  Thanks again for the advice
