blisters on the roof of the mouth

The sores could be caused by a yeast infection. It is normal to have yeast on your skin, but it can grow out-of-control if you have SjS and cause canker-like sores in your mouth and even down your throat. You can also get pink eye for the same reason.

I was getting these sores on a regular basis, which motivated me to do so research on possible causes. This led to my diagnosis of SjS. I now suck on a anti-fungal lozenge called Clotrimazone every day or so to prevent the mouth sores. It works very well and I haven't noticed any side effects. If a major event occurs, I go on a week long course of Diflucan, but I haven't had to do that for several years.

I highly recommend checking into this. I was very miserable and lost a lot of weight (the only good part) because I couldn't eat. Even drinking water hurt. You have my full sympathy. Good luck to you!

Another thing you can do to help keep your mouth healthy and help heal your sore is to use a mouth rinse like Neutral.  It is a Supersaturated Calcium Phosphate Rinse which prevents and treats the painful symptoms associated with oral mucositis.

Thanks for the suggestions. I will try some and see what works best for me.
