Hello to all my old friends on here and hello to all the new folks...

I haven't been on for quite a while... like since March last year or something. I have had to quit working as I couldn't keep up with the physical demands anymore. Also, I started having some chest pain and shortness of breath and had to get my heart checked out...been diagnosed with Tachycardia now and I have to take it easy as my heart rate runs fast and feels like my heart is going to jump out of my chest. So I take heart medicine now along with everything else.
Anyway, my wife and I moved to Henrietta,TX back in October to be near our families and we bought a nice little house. ...and right now I am in the process of trying to get approved for my Social Security Disability. In fact just had an appointment Saturday to get a bunch of xrays and an physical exam for them.
So, I'm hoping everything works out...it's got to.
I'll be checking back in here in the Forums more often now that I am more or less settled.

Joe S.

Welcome Mark,
I hope you get settled in and that everything works out for you! CK

Do you have a condition called SVT? There are procedures now to ablate the areas causing the fast heart beat if that is what it is.  Not without risk though ,so it is always best to try meds first then if they fail then ablate.  The doctor who would do that would be an electrophysiologist.  CK

Haven't heard it called SVT. Just Tachycardia.
Thanks all.
Today just hunkering down getting ready for this blizzard. Probably fixing to run to the store and get a few things pretty soon as the cold front (sleet/snow line) is about 50 miles to the west right now... I need to get it done.

Hey Mark, I remember you!!! It has been a long time and lots has happened with a lot of people on this site plus with you. NOthing ever stays the same.

Hey Mark!
Sounds like you are having the same symptoms that I am having!  My cardiologist called it Atrial Tachycardia, pretty much the same thing. He has started me on Cardizem 30mg, for now.  He has also mentioned the ablation that Joe talked about.  Much luck to you and the disability qualifying process!  I am doing the same!  Can be long and drawn out for whatever reason.
Enjoy your new home and family being near! That can be priceless!

Hi Mark!!  We were very worried about you when you just stopped writting!  Don't do that again, ok!!  :)
