I have never been drunk or tipsy or consumed more than a unit of alcohol in the one sitting. My GI problems initially stopped me drinking, then the liver disease.

Even if I didn't have sjogren's, gut problems or liver disease, I just don't like the taste. I've never 'learned' to like drinking.

I feel very fortunate that this is the case when I see how it drains money, time and health from friends and family.

Unfortunately this makes people think I'm really weird because I don't drink alcohol and limits social life. I'm okay with that.

I can't drink much at all.  If I do take a sip, I feel so bad.  I feel weak, so tired I can't sit up, and I just have to lay down.  It's not worth it to me, so I will order virgin margaritas or pina coladas.

I guess I really don't miss it at all.  The side effects outweigh any pleasure it would give me.  Probably only drink about a teaspoon once or twice a year.

I used to love drinking a glass or two of red wine, or perhaps a gin and tonic.  I don't touch alcohol now because if I do I feel awful.  :(

I have finally succumb to the fact I can't really drink anymore.
I love a cold beer here and there, but since I can't have gluten, that's gone.
GF beers are not the same.
One glass of wine sucks out the last bit of moisture I have in my body. I can't even talk my mouth gets so dry. Even drinking water with it. I will drink a gallon trying to quench the dryness. It is really miserable.
Not to mention the aching.

I don't know if this mean anything but I've never been able to drink. My face turns bright red. Hands and feet itch. I've been like this ever since I tried to drink in college.

Not really. Dehydration doesn't help though.

My arms and legs hurt when I drink and it does not take much for me to get buzzed.  Then I feel really bad.
