It's a brand new month  -  July 2012.  Along with this new month comes some new birthdays and anniversaries.

We'd like to celebrate the occasion with you - so, if you want, tell us the date of your celebration.

Happy Birthday and Happy Anniversary to our members who celebrate the occasion in July.

I'm always glad to have a celebration that involves cake and/or presents!

I selected dominion day for the day of our wedding. It was a double wedding with my wife's identical twin sister. We were married 40 years ago today.

We went out for supper tonight.

When we were first married, and both working, we would have a party from the 1st to the 4th. Friends would come out to the lake place and we would have several days of grilling, swimming, scuba diving, and fishing. On our anniversary we would take everyone out celebrate at a local supper club with wine and champagne.  After seeing the fireworks show on the 4th we would shoot off about $1000 in fireworks that we had for the occasion.

July 9th is the 11th birthday of my very first daughter, so it's HER birthday, but it's also the day I became a mommy, so you can say it's my 'birthday' too    I always say since they gave my life purpose and meaning, that THEY gave birth to ME

We will celebrate our 50th (fifty!!) anniversary on July 13.  We were married on a Friday the 14th also.  I don't like all these high numbers running around, but I was a teenage bride (honestly) and that makes me so much younger.  My hubby was an old man of 23.  I can't believe the years went by so fast.  Lucy

PS.  Joe, after seeing your anniversary, I had the courage to put mine up here.  I am usually not one to mention personal stuff, but you did it so nicely, I thought I would too.

Congrats on 50 Lucy. Yes, Jan was a teenage bride. I had to get permission from my parents. I was considered underage when I proposed. We both have the same birth year.

So, are you going sky diving, or any other adventurous activity to celebrate?

So, are you going sky diving, or any other adventurous activity to celebrate?

Well, Joe, until tonight, we had not a thing planned and I remembered your asking about sky diving etc.  Well,
we are going to see a Carlos Santana concert at one of the bigger casinos in my state and we are staying all night in the hotel.  I must say I'm not sure if my hubby is excited about a Santana concert, but it's the best I could come up with.  He will like it better than a rock n' roll hair band, that's for sure.  I'm sure we will always remember this concert.  It had $25 tickets where you could sit on the hill in the grass and we splurged for the $75 @ so we have good seats.  Darn, I just don't think I could spend 3 hours sitting on the ground, on a hill no less with my artificial knees.

Hi All I am 57 today, We will be catching up and celebrating my birthday with our 3 daughters and 5 grandchildren on Sunday with a lunch being put on by my eldest daughter... Should be fun and can't wait...
