I have had a pretty low end job for most of my life (I'm only 22, so I guess that's not all bad), but through years of internet marketing, I am finally nearing a position that will allow me to quit my job and work full time online. Not only the less stress of your average job, but I will make quite a bit more money.

This may sound dumb to some, but I will finally be able to afford some long overdue doctor's appointments (please no political debate on universal healthcare lol) and feel comfortable in spending the money necessary to find a better doctor for some of my health complications that were harder to afford for me in the past.

I really just wanted to share this with everyone because I'm so excited. I've been given a lot from my parents, and I'm so ready to be stable on my own. Another bonus is that, since it's online, I shouldn't have to worry too much about health problems getting in the way of my job (I only have to sit at a computer and not too much work at it).

I feel I've worked really hard for this over the past 5 years, and I'm very excited.

ttdub,

This is awesome news!  :D ;)

I'm so happy for you.  Nope, at 22, you have no reason to feel badly about jobs you've had so far.

Working online can be great, and you'll be making more, too?  Fantastic!  I had an online job a few years ago (pre-health issues) and I really liked it.  No driving to the office, no sitting in a cubicle.

My "office" was in my living room at my desktop.  My "commute" was about 50 feet. :)  Lunch was walking to the kitchen about 20 feet away.  (we had a small place)

Again, congratulations!  The fact you'll be able to afford to take care of your health better is a huge positive.
Keep us posted.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate it... You said that you were working online before you health problems. Are they the reason you quit?

I think thats wonderful news...to be able to work from home...and even be paid more to boot.

I had to quit my online job when we moved to a new state, just a couple years before the health problems went out of control.  It was a remote program for customer service with a bricks and mortar company and since I moved 200 miles away it was too far.  But when I was there, I loved it.

I worked another customer service position when we moved (in an office with lots of people and a 40 minute commute).  It was after that the Sjogren's and Fibro. issues really got me, and I needed to ultimately file for SS Disability.

Thanks so much! I really appreciate it. I've been working for probably 5  hours a day, making little to nothing, for the past 5 years to get here, but it's finally about to be worth it all... :)

Ewww... 40 minute commute. I understand that. I live around 40 minutes away from work myself. If you ever want any tips on making some extra money online, I'm here for ya... When everything is finished being set up, I'll end up working around 2 hours a day, but I will be able to set those hours, and if I need a day off here and there, I can have it. I am quite excited.

Ttub!!!

Congratulations! I have worked from home for about 8 years and it is great. Make sure you get out though sometimes... It is easy to become a recluse. I love that I can do what I want, when I want. But follow some rules...
1. Have fun
2. GET DRESSED in the morning! No staying in PJ's all day. (sweats don't count as PJ's)
3. Have lunch out once a week. (even a picnic is okay)
4. Keep the cat/dog off the computer.
5. Play music, not the TV for noise.
6. Well... no more rules... no more bosses, no more commute... all is good!

Thank you for the great rules! I really get the whole no TV thing. While I'm working, I always have it on, and it makes a 1 hour job turn into a 3 hour job... lol.
