~{THE WORD ASSOCIATION THREAD}~

I cannot believe that this forum doesn't have a word association thread, or at least one I couldn't find. Mods: if you don't allow this sort of thing for storage issues or whatever go ahead and kill it, otherwise...

For those of you not familiar with this game all you have to do is read the last word that was posted in the forum and then post a single word that you associate with it. You are supposed to pick the first word that comes to mind, but sometimes carefully thought out ones slip in there too. ;)

For example if I post Pecan the next person might post Almond > Nut > Cracker > Jack > Jill and so on.

This game has been around for a long time, I remember first playing it on usenet, "the internet before the internet." It has a few things going for it. It has been proven in the past to increase forum traffic as people tend to stop in more often when they know they have a place to post. It's also entertaining to see how the minds of other people work, that is, how they associate this thing with that.

So come on, won't you fight the brain fog and give it a try?

The first word is:

Apple
