Dear friends,

I have good news to share.  Our daughter gave birth to a beautiful little girl Tues. May 8th.   :D ;)

Savannah Michelle was born 6 lbs.11 oz. 19.25 inches long, and very healthy. Our daughter and son-in-law are so in love with her.  Of course, we think she's gorgeous and were surprised that she has quite a bit of coppery-blonde/red hair!  Neither of the parents' hair is that color, but we have redheads in the family, so shouldn't be so surprised.  ;)

My husband and I traveled to Ohio to see them Thurs. and Friday; it was a great early Mother's Day present!! I'm thrilled to be grandma. :)

I love the name they picked and i'm sure all of you are so very proud of your new baby..

I so appreciate it...I smiled along until I read your post/prayer, Daisy, and then I smiled through a tear welling up.  But, a happy tear, nonetheless.  You have such a gift of writing with love and tenderness.

Your little one sound soo sweet. The hair color and name sure make her sound like a southern belle. You will be wanting to make that trip to visit a lot more often now.

I am also thrilled to hear that mother and baby are doing well and happy. Father too. !! Such a blessing for Mothers Day. Irish ;D

You never know about the hair. I have dark brown hair BUT when I was born up until 3 years old I had golden blond hair.  Have not found the blonde in the family history yet.
