Is aquatic therapy - at a physical therapy facility - at 93 degrees - a good or bad idea? I am worried that is might not be good for autoimmune. I am planning on asking my rhemo in 2 wks, but a PT friend has suggested it.

It is good for fibro and RA pain but like a hot tub it tends to breed all kinds of infectious parasites.

Thank for the info Joe.  Parasitic infections are not welcome!

Yuck on the bugs!... but hopefully the tub has chemicals in it. I find a warm/hot dip to me waaaay too exhausting but exercise is always good.

Our pool water is set for arthritic patients and their exercises.  I believe it's usually about 98*  You shower before you go in and after you come out and I've never had any cooties. Through my life I occasionally got feet fungus when I'm around pools or beaches.

The pool is set and maintained by the Artyhritis Association.  If it's a couple of degrees cooler, people yell and holler they are cold.  My sister goes to a pool in Florida for the same thing and I think theirs is several degrees cooler, like 95*.  I did not stay in there long.  As soon as I get in the pool it's af if my aches are just washed away.  Lucy
