My husband got some different kinds of candy for Halloween, but we end up eating it because no kids come around here and we know it.  Included was something he didn't like and I knew it must be sour.  I tasted it and indeed, it's sour.  It is Jolly Rancher "cherry stix."  I am going to finish them up, and while I do not like them, they do kick out a bit of saliva.

They are not sugar free, so I wouldn't want to use these a lot.  I wanted to throw out a hint to try or if some of you with children may be familiar with cherry stix.  They are a hard candy and they last a bit while you suck on them.  Lucy

I have had those too, and they are pretty good, and help.

I also get the sugar free werthers too, and they are good.

I bought some Ri co la(the commercial got to me) :D drops for the first time the other day in a berry flavor so if me and husband get scratchy dry throat. They were better than I thought.

If you have any candy acidic like LEMON DROPS -  pls pls rinse your mouth out good!! :o

My gp prescribed lemon drops for me due to a throat problems, 3 wks later I saw the dentsit who said "what the heck did you do to your teeth!".  The acid in the lemon drops had eaten enamel on parts of my teeth. I have never gotten it back either.

My teeth are cavity prone enought with the SJS dry mouth, but now I got teeth that are missing enamel in places too.

I too use sugar free Lemon drops when I need some extra saliva.  Not liking the taste much, but beats having to see the dentist for yet "another" cavity.

Just had issues with Parotiditis and was told to suck on lemon drops, were hard to find but finally got them, now I hear I should watch out for them...where did you find sugar free one? I could not find any. Fortunately parotid gland doing better, but still have package and 1/3 left so will finish these although will space them out and rinse after ....thanks for the warning, already have thin enamel.

Hi RobinBat,

I think I got them at Harris Teeter...it was one of those "healthier" grocery chain stores.  I know that Amazon sells several varieties as well (need to write myself a note so that the next time I place an order with them, I'll order a few bags too).
