I had my first infusion in early December.  When my next appointment came up two weeks later I had a bad sinus infection. They would not do infusion. I reschedule and was suppose to be going tomorrow. But after going to doctor today I have swollen glands and another infection. After the first infusion i could really tell a difference. I had less pain and energy. Not sure what will happen since I will be so far off schedule. I really hope to get the other infusion within two weeks. I'm a little scared since I have had so many infections. My Vit D is down to 18 and I am having to take 50,000IU three times a week. Is there anyone that can tell me your experience with Rituxan and if you were not able to take back to back infusions?  Thanks

Are the infections from the infusion??? I just did some research to night on the Rituxan and it seems like people can get low white counts which wouldmake them more prone to infections. I would think the doctor where you get your infusion should be informed about your infections. I would assume that you are keeping abreast of the whole thing. Somebody has to be in charge. Right??

Just take a deep breath and relax cause no matter what kind of treatment a person starts it seems that there is always something to keep things screwed up. Good luck. Irish ;D

Are they sure its a sinus infection? My head/sinuses are going nuts right now, not to mention my joints and my glands all inflammed...feels like my head is going to explode. I had this before and the ER docs told me I had an infection after a CAT scan and told me to go on antibiotics...then, my ENT looked to the scans and my l labs and said I had sinusitis and allergies.

Ive had multiple rituxan infusions and one of the side effects is sinusitis? Ive also had to have them done a month apart because I got sick.
I wouldnt worry about it..just get it when your feeling a bit better..not much you can do right if you do have an infection.
